It's a TIGER thing here at Crabbe Elementary School and we are glad to have you here!

Sincerely,

Uriah A. Tolbert, Ed.S

Principal

My career in education began in 2010 at Yates Elementary School in Lexington, KY as the Music Specialist/Interventionist. There I taught K-5 for 5 years with reading and math RtI (Response to Intervention) in both primary and intermediate grades. My focus while in this position was the implementation of reading and math while having fun through playful activities during my music instruction.

In 2015 I transferred to Mary Todd Elementary to help aid in their behavior management and implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports by becoming the Professional Growth and Effectiveness Systems Coach for Behavior & Discipline (PGES Coach for short). This gave me the opportunity to showcase my leadership qualities and abilities to move scholars forward in the behavior MTSS process.

I am a father of two children, one in 3rd grade and one starting Kindergarten. Both of which will be going to Crabbe.

I am continuing looking forward in taking Crabbe Elementary School "learning to another dimension" and I hope you are excited and ready to shine together! Please feel free to contact me as needed... And remember, it's a Tiger Thing here at Crabbe Elementary and we are glad to have your scholar here!
